Many people spend time thinking about how they look… that is just a common human thing to do (and the reason that mirrors are so popular!). Maybe we want to know if how we look is “normal” or maybe we try to compare ourselves to others. But one of the greatest things about biology is just how diverse life is. Everyone is different, and no two people (not even twins) look exactly the same. This is true of our bodies as a whole, and it’s definitely true about our reproductive parts.
Some people’s parts are bigger or smaller than others, some have more or less skin or hair, and some have darker or lighter skin tones. Here you can see just a small bit of the variety that we find across our primary sex parts. Some people also have bits of parts from each of these groups. And some people may look entirely different from what you see here. What’s important to know is that there is no “normal” that you should look like. Just concentrate on knowing your own body, how it looks and feels, and when something changes. That way, you can talk to a parent or a doctor to help understand and keep track of your sexual health. For now, just try to enjoy how different we all are, from our heads to our toes (including our vulvas and penises!).

All vulvas are different. They come in all sizes and shapes, and some have more skin and more hair than others. The same is true of vaginas...all vaginas are different. Though you don’t actually see vaginas here, they also come in a huge variety of sizes and shapes. Some also make more or less fluid than others, some smell differently than others, and some have sex or deliver babies, while others do not.
There is no "normal" vulva, and there is no "normal" vagina. Just make sure to get to know the diversity of the female anatomy and how these beautiful body parts work.
Remember, no matter your sex, if you decide to use your body in a sexual way, only give consent if you want to, and make sure to ask for and receive consent before involving someone else.
